Sometimes I just shut up and draw. Here are a few times where I think that worked out pretty well:
Big Boi's Mash-Up Mondays
The mission was to release a new remix every Monday, complete with album artwork and animated visuals. I had the honor of creating the album artwork, so that was fun.
"Where the Light Ends" by Jeff Mills
I illustrated the "motion comic" music video for Jeff Mills, telling the story of Japanese astronaut Mamoru Mohri's first trip into space.
Tzara
I also created a comic book-inspired album package for Islasoul's TZARA.
I've also been known to draw the occasional hip hop/comic book mash-up.
So I guess the moral of the story is, I really like music and nerd stuff.
